If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would be working as a drone pilot and a drone videographer and photographer in 2020 I would probably have laugh out load. It was never a path I thought I would end up on, but sincerely, it is the best thing that have ever happened to me and I smile everyday because of it.
I got my hands on a drone for the first time in the summer of 2017. I was terrified to fly, but it was a terror mingled with delight and curiosity - and an eager will to create.
The drone flying started out as a hobby for me and I was flying for fun as often as I could. I can't deny that it was heavenly to live in the Maldives my first 1,5 years with the drone, flying with the paradise as my playground and with no obstacles in sight except some swaying palm trees.
People in my surroundings and friends of friends started asking me for pictures and videos. I started earning some money from the drone work I did and all of a sudden I realized that I actually was working with my biggest passion - I had become a drone operator and creator. I soon started to sell posters of my drone work and my drone business had taken off.
I moved on from the Maldives to Indonesia and kept getting new projects in all different kind of fields. Til today I've done projects in fashion, hospitality and hotels, politics, music, real estate and properties, experiences, events, destinations and services. I've taken every opportunity to get more experiences outside my comfort zone and to extend my knowledge as a drone operator.
Today I have my base in Stockholm, Sweden where I'm working part time as a drone pilot. My goal is to make my drone passion my full time business and I'm on a good way to make that happen.
Since 2018 I am a proud brand ambassador for Women Who Drone, a community who encourages and empowers women to fly drones. The highlight of my ambassadorship was when I got to join them in NYC for two workshops and fly with them in the city that never sleeps.
Please follow me on my journey!
